Beyond the prototype
Building the first screen is easy. Building something you can keep running is the real skill.
AI coding tools can produce a quick prototype, but they do not automatically give you the infrastructure, data model, user access, security, testing, and visibility a real application needs.
This sprint teaches the complete progression by building one shared app together. Every participant follows the same implementation in their own production space, with live help when the tools or code get unfamiliar.

After registering, participants submit their ideas. Otavio narrows them to realistic options, the group discusses and votes, and the winning use case becomes the shared application for the week.

Five consecutive 45-minute sessions keep the momentum high. Any between-session work is limited to catching up or completing setup needed for the next day.

No coding experience is required. You may use a different stack, but the instructors can provide the strongest support for the tools demonstrated live.
Your instructor
Build alongside Otavio Souza
Otavio has spent nearly 20 years working across software development, consulting, technical sales, and solution delivery. During the sprint, he will build the selected application live while you recreate each release in your own environment.
A Claude Code specialist will also attend every session, helping the small cohort keep moving when setup, tools, or generated code become unfamiliar.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need coding experience?
No. The sprint starts with the basics, and you will build by following the live implementation in your own environment. You should be comfortable trying unfamiliar tools and asking for help when you get stuck.
Which tools will we use?
Otavio will explain the stack used for the live build, and a Claude Code specialist will help throughout the sprint. You may use alternatives, but support will be strongest for the demonstrated path.
Who decides which app we build?
Paid participants submit ideas before the sprint. Otavio shortlists ideas that fit the five-day scope, then the cohort discusses and votes during the first session.
Will everyone work on the same application?
Yes. Everyone follows the same shared build, but recreates and deploys it inside their own production environment.
Will the app really be in production?
Yes. Testing and deployment begin with the first iteration and happen again after every session. The goal is a running, maintainable, secure, and observable first production version—not a complete enterprise platform.
How much time should I expect to spend?
Plan for one 45-minute live session on each of five consecutive weekdays. Between sessions, you may need to finish a missed step or complete simple setup, such as creating a service account required for the next day.
Will the sessions be recorded?
Yes. Registered participants receive recordings of all five sessions.
What happens if I cannot attend one session?
You can use the recording to catch up, but live participation is strongly recommended because each day builds on the production release from the day before.
What if I need to change my registration?
Schedule changes and refund requests are handled individually. Contact Mainstreet AI and we will review the available options for your situation.
Can I get help with my own app afterward?
Yes. Participants can book a separate 1:1 session with Otavio after the sprint.
